SOLAR PV / BATTERY STORAGE

Generate with purpose.
Store with a clear case.

Develop generation and flexibility projects through site-specific technical design, market evidence and accountable partnerships.

One project.
Connected decisions.

Land, solar resource, grid access, environmental constraints, offtake and capital structure belong in the same development conversation. Storage adds its own power rating, energy capacity, operating limits and dispatch economics.

We consider standalone solar, co-located solar and storage, and standalone battery opportunities. The partner workspace provides a transparent first screening, with no default return promises.

Solar PV

Define capacity, site rights, yield study, grid constraints, EPC scope and the realised-price basis. Document PPA or merchant exposure and curtailment assumptions.

Battery storage

Separate MW from MWh, usable capacity from nameplate, and technical duration from realised dispatch. Review grid permissions, cycling, safety, degradation and replacement costs.

Project development

Coordinate site screening, feasibility, commercial structure, approvals, procurement, construction and operations through named responsibilities and decision gates.

RENEWABLE TECHNOLOGY / THE BIG PICTURE

From sunlight.
To useful energy.

Capture the resource

Photovoltaic modules convert sunlight into direct-current electricity. Bifacial modules can also capture reflected light from the rear; the benefit depends on ground reflectivity, shading and the layout.

Convert & connect

Inverters convert direct current into alternating current. Transformers, substations and protection systems connect generation to the network. Grid studies determine the feasible connection and operating limits.

Design for the site

Module selection, mounting angle, row spacing and electrical design work together. Energy-yield studies assess local irradiation, system losses and uncertainty to support a project-specific design.

SOLAR + STORAGE + RESPONSIBLE DELIVERY

Technology is only
part of the project.

Renewable development connects land, engineering, environmental assessment and commercial planning. Battery storage can add flexibility where grid access, operating requirements and the business case support it.

Find your partnership role ↗

A credible site

Assess land rights, access, topography, shading and environmental constraints before defining the scheme.

A viable energy route

Evaluate grid connection alongside an offtake strategy, including power purchase agreements where appropriate.

A long-term operating plan

Bring procurement, construction, monitoring and maintenance into the design conversation from the start.

MATCH THE SOLUTION TO THE ENERGY NEED

Different sites.
Different ways to use solar.

On-site solar

Rooftops, car parks and suitable ground areas can place generation near a business’s electricity demand. Start with roof or land suitability, ownership, consumption patterns and the electrical connection.

Off-site generation

A separate solar project can supply the grid, with a power purchase agreement shaping the commercial relationship with an energy buyer. The delivery structure, network charges and allocation of environmental attributes depend on the market and contract.

Community energy

Shared solar can broaden participation beyond properties with suitable roofs. Subscription, ownership and billing arrangements depend on local programmes and regulation; availability must be confirmed for each market.

These are project models to explore. Suitability and availability are assessed individually with the relevant technical, utility and commercial partners.

BUSINESSES / INDUSTRY / PROPERTY

Begin with demand.
Then design the system.

For industrial parks, commercial buildings and other large energy users, a credible assessment starts with electricity bills, interval consumption data, available space and future load growth. Compare self-consumption, export limits and operating schedules before sizing generation or storage.

Solar output varies through the day and year. Batteries can shift energy and may support peak-demand management or grid services where permitted. Backup power requires a system designed for islanded operation, suitable controls and the appropriate approvals.

BEYOND COMMISSIONING

Plan for the whole life
of the asset.

Monitor & maintain

Define monitoring, preventive maintenance, inspection, fault response and reporting with the operating partner. Track actual production against an agreed baseline and investigate downtime or underperformance.

Protect long-term performance

Review equipment warranties, spare parts, insurance and replacement planning. For batteries, include capacity degradation, operating limits and safety responsibilities in the operating plan.

Plan the end of life

Agree responsibility for equipment removal, recycling and site restoration. Review decommissioning provisions and land obligations as part of project planning and contracting.

EVIDENCE BEFORE EXPECTATIONS

A disciplined development pathway.

01

Site & rights

Land control, environmental screening, site access and initial resource assessment.

02

Grid & feasibility

Connection study, technical scope, yield / dispatch analysis, permitting route and cost basis.

03

Partnership & capital

Agree contributions, governance, capital requirements and an investment-review mandate.

04

Delivery & operation

Project-specific EPC and O&M arrangements, commissioning, monitoring and accountable performance review.
